The only remaining original prototype Supersport Ford from the 1960s with an open roof is looking for a new owner.
Ford GT40 was created to counter Ferrari, which half a century ago was synonymous with supersport cars.
On the eve of serial production, 12 prototypes were made, out of which 6 were in the Roadster configuration. The last of these six copies, which to date has kept the original look without being modified or destroyed during testing, is offered for sale on the Classic Driver website.

It is a car behind which wheels such famous as Carole Shelby or Jim Clark have been on the track, which served as a test piece in the development of the production GT40.
It was not announced the price of the car, and it would be a surprise not to reach the seven-digit or even eight-digit dollar sum.
