Norwegian yacht designer Marius Skjolde has been working on his MESD 100 superyacht concept for over a year and now he has revealed his 100-metre project. The extensive yacht captures both the interior aspects of a yacht of this size and blends them together with an exterior that offers just as much space for entertainment and play time.
Featuring elegant profile and sleek continuous lines, the vessel allows passengers to experience the natural world while sailing on the high seas. The huge sloping aft deck with its 7-metre-long pool and exposed beach club below is designed to make the most of any sunny day the yacht finds herself in.
The beach club itself is designed to house several social areas and come complete with a bar, sea-view lounges as well as a fully equipped fitness centre with gym, spa and sauna.
The MESD 100’s tenders would therefore be stored forward of the beach club and released through another foldable door.
The layout notably includes an upper deck with floor-to-ceiling windows and a shaded terrace overlooking main deck aft, with the possibility to completely close it down with glass panels. A helipad can also be found forward of the main deck.
The sundeck comes with two intended uses: either as a semi-open outdoor space where guests can relax under a large retractable bimini on the family-sized lounge and in the circular Jacuzzi up forward or, alternatively, have this deck configured as an owner’s suite on its own private deck and the freedom that comes with such a setup. What do you think?
