Cottar’s 1920s is magnificent safari camp, situated in a timelessly unspoiled setting with sunset views stretching to distant horizons of the Masai Mara and the Serengeti plains covered in boundless game.
The Camp has its own 6,000 acre private conservancy and its location provides easy access for day and night game drives to the Masai Mara game reserve and the conservancy, game walks, and cultural interactions with the Masai community.
With 10 luxury tent suites equipped as they would have been a century ago, going on safari at Cottars 1920’s is an unforgettable wildlife experience, and a romantic trip back in time, all in one.
One unique honeymoon tent, five double tents and four family suites, all come with en suite bathrooms. The family tents have living rooms with fireplaces. The entire camp is situated to ensure that tents are private and quiet whether for honeymooners or families with young children.
There are a few concessions to modernity at Cottars 1920’s, including the 4-wheel drives that take you on game drives. But there’s a lot of ground to cover, so you won’t complain. This area is home to some of the most abundant wildlife in Africa and you’ll see lions, cheetahs, elephants, and a huge assortment of other big animals. If you’re lucky, you’ll be there for the annual wildebeest migration, one of nature’s grandest spectacles.
The camp has two main mess tent areas for fine dining, drinking, reading and relaxing. An exciting new addition is an amazing pool and spa area where guests can relax after a game drive. Guests can also enjoy a safari bath or safari shower, specifically set up in the savannah should they wish for a genuinely unique way of bathing!
