The waiting is over. In front of you is the new generation of Aston Martin Vantage model that is significantly lighter and faster, and is powered by AMG’s engine.
Inspired by the DB10 model, which Aston Martin made for the latest in a series of British James Bond 007 movie, the Vantage New Generation retained the basic concept of the sports coupe with the engine over (beyond) the rear axle and the rear-wheel drive.
Five centimeters shorter than the main competitor coming from Porsche, the new Vantage has at the same time a significantly higher wheelbase than the current 911, resulting in more space in the passenger compartment that is lined with the best materials now installed in the cars.
With an optimal mass distribution across the axles and a “diet” that resulted in 136 kilograms less compared to the previous generation, the aluminum Vantage combined with the additionally “refined” AMG’s 4.0 liter V8 engine (510hp and 685 Nm of the highest torque) from 0 to 100 km/h arrives after 3.6 seconds and reaches 314 km/h.
There’s the new 8-speed automatic transmission which comes from the ZF, and the optimal grip, in addition to dedicated aerodynamics, also helps electronically controlled partial blocking of the differential.
From the second quarter of next year Aston will offer Vantage in combination with a manual transmission.
In the legendary British automobile company, they are now silent about an even stronger version powered by the V12 engine.
