To honour the world’s greatest artists, writers and thinkers, Montegrappa created the Genio Creativo series of pens. Joining writer and philosopher Kahlil Gibran and the artist Vecellio Tiziano, known as Titian, is the sculptor Antonio Canova.
So, Montegrappa’s Antonio Canova limited edition pens pay homage to this Italian sculptor famous for his work in marble.
The pens are available as a fountain pen and a rollerball. Each pen is trimmed in bronze and is limited to 260 units worldwide (260 fountain pen and 260 rollerball).

The edition size represents the number of years since the sculptor’s birth.
There is also an 18k gold trim version that is limited edition 12 units worldwide to represent the number of collaborators who worked with Canova.
The pens’ are made of a synthetic marble composite (that is naturally grey), black resin and polished bronze trim or 18k yellow trim. The barrel features a miniature sculpture of his famous work “The Graces” (“Le Grazie”).
The signature clip is in the form of a pleated drape analogous to the drape that the artist used to clad his models. The bronze or gold trim is enhanced with ornate motifs which often top antique amphorae.

The fountain pen is cartridge or codnverter fed and the nib is 18k gold and engraved with same emblem that resides on the top of the cap, “signifying the heraldic coat of arms of the family.”
Pricing for the fountain pen begins at roughly $2,500 for the bronze variation and $18,900 for the 18k gold, while the rollerball starts at $2,000 for the bronze and around $23,600 for the gold.
