We all know that Porsche makes high-quality sports and luxury cars. This time, the German company surprised us with something completely different. As part of its sustainable development program, Porsche introduced its own honey.
Over 25 bee colonies are located near the Porsche factory in Leipzig, Germany. Although brakes were formed in May this year, the German manufacturer managed to produce as much as 1.5 million bees, which have already given about 400 kilograms of honey. Honey can be purchased under the name “Turbienchen“.
Bees are just one of a series of environmental projects organized by Porsche brand. In 2002, a German company formed a reserve of pony (exmoor) and bulls, in which deer, birds and rabbits live. Porsche decided to support the development of bees, as parasites, pesticides and lack of biotope made the bee population in Germany dramatically decrease. Porsche plans to expand bee colonies as early as next year.
