Unique Ferrari Testarossa convertible, which has been modified specifically for the Pepsi advertisement in which Michael Jackson appears, was advertised for sale.
Ferrari Testarossa and Michael Jackson were the icons of the ’80s, everyone in their own domain. As such, they were identified by Pepsi and merged in one of the scenes of the famous commercial in 1987.
King of Pop was at the height of popularity, and his hit Bad served as a music background for the commercial. In one of the scenes, Jackson drives Ferrari, who has been converted to convertible for shooting purposes.
Modification was done by California customizer Richard Straman who took for his work as much as $ 40,000.
Testarossa from the commercial was produced in 1986, and it isn’t known if it ever belonged to the King of Pop. However, its history and the fact that it is a unique specimen with a foldable canvas roof, raised its price and the owner for this car on the Motor GT website is asking for $ 799,900.
The vehicle has only 27,000 km (17,000 miles) on its odometer.
