The World Gin Awards select the very best gins in the internationally recognised gin styles and promote the world’s best gins to consumers and trade across the globe. Atom Brands’ gin portfolio has been bestowed yet more accolades, from this global awards.
Competing against gins produced around the globe, three Atom Brands expressions were awarded highly sought-after titles: Ableforth’s Bathtub Gin – Old Tom was named World’s Best Compound Gin, That Boutique-y Gin Company’s Cherry Gin was named World’s Best Flavoured Gin, and 1897 Quinine Gin was named World’s Best Classic Gin.
These were not the only prizes claimed by Atom Brands at the World Gin Awards 2018. Six gins from the Atom Brands portfolio were named Category Winners, and a further ten gins were awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze medals.
Winners from Atom Brands span the whole gin portfolio, from the renowned Ableforth’s Bathtub Gin selection to That Boutique-y Gin Company’s independently bottled expressions, the terroir-exploring Origin series to 1897 Quinine Gin, sales of which support Malaria No More UK.
A rigorous blind tasting competition, the World Gin Awards is judged by leading industry experts, journalists, drinks retailers and distillers. Entrants from all recognised styles of gin are evaluated, with gins from across the globe competing for the top titles.
The World Gin Awards ceremony, hosted at London’s Honourable Artillery Company, was also the setting for the inaugural Gin Magazine Icons of Gin awards, honouring outstanding people, products and places in the gin world. In recognition of his dedication, enthusiasm and talent, Ableforth’s brand ambassador Dan Crowther was named Gin Brand Ambassador of the Year.
