After having already leaked two images of the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, now the British manufacturer has released a set of official photos of this novelty.
British brand worked on this model with an Italian body-worker founded by Felice Bianchi Anderloni in 1925, and Andy Palmer, head of Aston Martin, says the DBS Superleggera was developed to compete with Ferrari 812 Superfast (which still has a 6.5-liter V12 engine 800 hp).
Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is powered by 5.2 liter twin-turbo V12 engine with 725KS at 6500 rpm and 900 Nm of torque (from 1800 to 5000 rpm), enough to reach a maximum of 340 km/h while an acceleration of 0 up to 100 km/h is 3.4 seconds.
The power is transferred to the rear wheels via the new ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, while the carbon-ceramic brakes are taken care of for stopping.
Aluminum and carbon fiber are used in the construction, so the weight of this car is 1695 kg – 72 kg lower than the DB11 model.
Compared to DB11, new DBS Superleggera is also 5 mm lower, with 21-inch wheels, Pirelli P-Zero tires (265/35 and 305/30), active suspension, characteristic front grill, new front spoiler and redesigned air vents on the mudguards.
The deliveries will start in the third quarter, and the price in Germany is €274,995.
Also, it is expected that Aston Martin will later offer DBS Superleggera in the open Volante version.
