If you are in a mood for a trip to Mexico, specifically in Tulum, you are now able to stay in a hotel that once was one of the houses owned by the notorious Pablo Escobar.
New York company turned this fiction into reality and transformed the former residence of narco boss into a luxury hotel. This house, now the hotel, Escobar left back in 1993, and almost a decade later it was returned to its original owner, Lio Malca who transformed it into a boutique hotel in 2015.
The hotel has 9 rooms, it has a private beach 180m long and is owned by the Design Hotels chain. Fantastic artwork and sculptures adorn the interior of the hotel, while white walls and concrete floors further emphasize the beauty of this place. On the ground floor there is a large bar with a black / white background, while the spiral stairs lead to a beautiful roof terrace that offers a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape.
The hotel’s underground facilities hide the sauna and the pool. On the property there are two additional accommodation units with a total of 42 rooms, while near the beach there is also a fantastic house on the tree where you can also stay.
