When it comes to whiskey, no name is as sound as Macallan …
After selling a number of rare drinks, this brand again raised the bar for higher levels, selling four bottles from its Macallan Lalique Six Pillars collection, at a record price at a nearly held auction.
Lalique Six Pillars collection is one of the finest in the Macallan home, and consists of ultra fine whiskey, including Exceptional Oak Casks, Spiritual Home, Curiously Small Stills, Finest Cut, Natural Color and Peerless Spirit.
During the auction held in December, Macallan whiskey in variants 50, 55, 57 and 60 years old from the Lalique Six Pillars ensemble, were sold at a total price of about €377,000. At this auction was also set a new record, which previously held the other four bottles of the same series, sold for €20,000 less.
