If you’re on of those who can put their hands on some rare scotch here is an opportunity that is not missed. Macallan just announced the release of a new lux single malt, limited to only 250 numbered bottles.
Macallan 52 is, as the name implies, a more than half-decade old bottle, and it’s going to carry a price tag equivalent to over $1,000 per year – $53,500.
Macallan 52 years old has been aged in European oak sherry seasoned casks from Spain and features a hint of fruit and dark chocolate mixed with peat smoke, cinnamon, and ginger.
The ruby mahogany-colored bottles will be presented in a solid oak box and comes with a matte gold badge for its age statement.
Only 42 bottles will be released to the U.S. Around 35 or so are going to Asia, including 10 headed to China. The U.K. is getting 14.
