At the end of 2017, Bentley first introduced the new Continental GT in the Coupe edition, and last year, its Cabrio version with el. folding soft roof (opens otherwise in 19 seconds, at speeds up to 50 km/h).
Both body versions of the new Continental GT were initially only available with a 6.0-liter W12 biturbo engine with 467 kW / 635 hp and 900 Nm, but now the V8 engine has been added.
It is about 4.0-liter V8 engine of 550hp and 770 Nm (coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive), sufficient for a maximum of 318 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h for a 4.0 seconds (4.1 s at Cabrio version).
It should be noted here that the front axle with the new Continental GT is moved forward in advance by 135 mm (which allowed a longer hub and lower nose), and that the wheelbase is longer by 110 mm (the car is otherwise and spreads by 25 mm in comparison with old model).
As far as wheels are concerned, customers can choose more models from 20 to 22 inches.
All this with the highest quality materials and (too) rich equipment. Among other things, it should mentioned the 12.3-inch infotainment system, LED-Matrix light, and the Dynamic Ride and Anti-Roll Systems.
Special attention is again dedicated to the audio system, so the 650W standard has 10 speakers.
In the end, the Bentley Continental GT V8 will first get American buyers (in the third quarter of this year), while others will have to wait for the first quarter of 2020.
