Bugatti recently announced that with the purpose-built Chiron Sport at Ehra-Lessien, Germany, was able to reach a top speed of 304.77 mph (490.48 km/h), a result verified by the German TUV. Now comes news that the Bugatti will make a production version of the car, with the announcement that the series will be limited to only 30 copies.
The serial model is named Chiron Super Sport 300+, and will be on display at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

However, its production will begin in 2021, with the cost per copy excluding tax at €3.5 million (with a total tax of €4.17 million in Germany).
The car is, among other things, longer than the standard Chiron Sport, with the extended rear section being the most prominent. it is powered by the 8.0 liter W16 engine with 1600hp.
Still, the serial Chiron Super Sport 300+ won’t be exactly the same as the specimen that broke the record.

Specifically, the Chiron Super Sport 300+ will not have a protective cage, and it will also get a front passenger seat (the specimen that broke the record had GPS equipment and other hardware instead of the seat).
Also, the serial Chiron Super Sport 300+ will have a top speed limited to 440 km/h. Bugatti will, however, announce that the owners will be able to remove the blockage only during their official visit to the Ehra-Lessien test track.
