And while buying a bottle from time to time may satisfy their thirst, buying a whole collection of this beloved beverage is definitely a better option. This time, we present to you the Sotheby’s auction, which introduces “the most valuable whiskey collection ever auctioned.”
There are 467 bottles and nine crates of this refined beverage available, with an estimated total value of $4.9 million. The collection is mostly made up of scotch whiskey and features offers from some of the most popular brands around the world, such as Bowmore, Highland Park and Macallan. The last name mentioned is the most represented in the collection, with 178 bottles available from 1926 to 1991.

Other notable mixes in the collection include – The oldest bottles of Glenfiddich and Balvenie, including Balvenie fifty years old 1937, fifty years old Glenfiddich (first and second issues), and Glenfiddich aged 64 years 1937, Gordon & Macphail releases under the G&M label, including 70s series the Mortlach and Glenlivet generations, Bowmore Black issues, 40-year-old Bunnahabhain limited edition, and 40-year-old Ardbeg 1965, among many others. The online auction will start on September 27th and will end with a live sale in London Olympia on October 24th.
