If you grew up in the 1980s and were intoxicated by cars, you certainly had a Lamborghini Countach poster on your bedroom wall, and if you didn’t know for sure someone who had this “1980s poster hero” on the wall.
The Italian supercar in the late 1980s was still the real, true Lamborghini, just as the late Ferruccio Lamborghini founder wanted it to be. The racial supercar was designed by the famous designer Marcello Gandini of the Bertone studio and gave him then-unseen lines and striking design.

The prototype was shown in 1971 at the Geneva Motor Show and is so wide, low and not too long, and with body lines almost entirely composed of flat trapezoidal plates, it remains to this day the conceptual and design “roll-model” for all future super sports cars.

Countach began production three years later, and remained in production until 1990. At the same time, it was regularly improved, enhanced and more aggressive in design to look like a copy of the photos in red by the end of production. This is one of the last incarnations of Countach with the addition of the 5000 QV in 1988, the year offered on the US site Bring a Trailer, and the price is currently $141,141, with the auction closing in just ten days.
