Few days ago Morgan had a premiere – the new entry-level Plus Four with four-cylinder turbocharged petrol.
As expected, it is BMW’s 2.0 liter turbocharged engine with 190 kW / 255 hp and 350 Nm of torque (400 Nm combined with an automatic transmission), which transmits power to the rear wheels.
Morgan Plus Four is based on the same CX aluminum base as the Morgan Plus Six, and will be available with either a 6-speed manual or an optional 8-speed automatic transmission.
Acceleration to 100 km/h is 5.2 seconds (with 4.8 s automatic), top speed is 240 km/h and fuel consumption is 7.0 l/100 km according to factory data.
The vehicle is 3830 mm long, 1650 mm wide and 1250 mm high, while the lightest weight is 1009 kg.
Morgan Plus Four starts at £62,995 on the UK market.
