Barrett-Jackson company will auction a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window at an auction in Palm Beach, Florida, October 15-17. This particular Corvetta spent most of her life just like any other, until it was restored and it regained its old spirit.
The classic American sports car gets a modern Art Morisson chassis, featuring modern axles and sport suspension. Massive Vilwood brakes with 6-piston calipers up front and 4-piston calipers at the rear were also inserted.
The Star Corvette is also equipped with power steering, power windows and a new air conditioning and heating system.
Under the hood is a GM LS3 V8 540hp engine that is coupled to a 4L70E automatic “overdrive” gearbox that drives the rear wheels. Not only does this engine offer good power, it also looks like a work of art thanks to its chrome finish.
Inside, the Corvetta has a chrome steering wheel and brand new upholstery in red leather. Even the futuristic backlight in the trunk is built-in that only enhances the look.
It is still unknown at what price the car will be sold, but many believe the Corvetra will exceed half a million dollars.
