This timeless classic was purchased by the Hollywood movie icon at the time, and was quickly modified by Barris Kustoms. The body is gold-colored Barris Gold, and the cockpit and seats are red leather. It has a special rear suspension, rear wheel covers and a Carson hardtop. In 2010, the car was found in a warehouse by a Chicago collector who then ordered a restoration from Jim Kakuska from JK Restorations.
As for the engine, it is an original 3.4 liter DOHC six-cylinder, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The car was showcased at the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the 2019 Greenwich Concours, and the Amelia Island Concours in 2019 and 2020. This XK120 open-top speedster is now offered by a Jaguar Heritage Trust-certified car dealer with a toolkit , equipped with a boot, photo album, George Barris documentation and a portable New York registration.
