Montblanc brand has unveiled a new version of its luxury smartwatch, called Summit 2 +…
Considered the world’s first smartwatch to feature 4G LTE, Summit 2+ has an eSIM integrated option that gives it the ability to make voice calls over a 4G LTE network without having to pair with a smartphone. The watch can be set to the same number as your phone, and this functionality is already offered on models by other brands like the Apple Watch. Montblanc, on the other hand, is the first brand to introduce this story into the luxury market.
All other details of the Summit 2+ model are almost identical to those of its predecessor, introduced two years ago.
New Montblanc Summit 2+ runs on the Qualcomm 3100 Wear platform, powered by Google Wear OS. Like many mechanical models of this brand, the Summit 2+ comes with an oversized corona that fantastically emphasizes a 43.5mm diameter housing. It has a 1.28-inch AMOLED screen that is covered with a piece of rounded sapphire crystal to keep it from scratches.
Battery capacity is increased to 440 mAh, while the watch is available in three different versions – black, steel, pink gold, along with a PVD coated bronze-steel version.
“Designed to be your strong daily companion, this watch will connect you to the world, giving you the opportunity to be active and connected at all times,” said Montblanc Brand CEO Nicholas Barecki.
The Summit 2+ model will cost you about $1,170, which is about twenty percent more expensive than the original version, and will be available for purchase from the end of this month.
