Fiat 500 Design Collection – Panorama Sofa
All lovers the famous Fiat 500 will be delighted. Fiat showcased its new Fiat 500 Design Collection at the International Furniture Fair in Milan, Italy. Designed in partnership with interior design firm Meritalia and Lapo Elkann, the brother of Fiat chairman and Agnelli crown prince John Elkann, the new collection features three basic pieces: the Picnic table, the Cin Cin bar counter and the Panorama sofa.
Mounted on two wheels, the Picnic table uses two front ends of the Fiat 500 that are placed back to back. The wheels are made with flexible black polyurethane and transparent glass is fixed to the ground with crystal legs. The Cin Cin bar counter has its top part made from crystal and is very much like the Picnic table, except for the fact that it has no wheels. It is available with three height options. The Panorama sofa enjoys the same Fiat 500 front, a padded seat and backrest and covers that are made from fabric or leather.
The Fiat 500 is produced by the Fiat company of Italy between 1957 and 1975, with limited production of the Fiat 500 K estate continuing until 1977. The car was designed by Dante Giacosa. All three pieces of collection pay homage to the original ‘Cinquecento’ Fiat 500 of the 1950s, not the new generation model.
The Fiat 500 Design Collection is intended for outdoor uses, but how much I like it , I would put it in my living room. [Fiat 500 Design]
