Go green! How many times have you come across this phrase? If you do intend to take up the cause of protecting your environment seriously, and want to do it in style, then check out the Cannondale OnBike bicycles. The simple, asymmetry of the limited edition Cannondale OnBike is not the only thing that makes it so striking.
Not only that, but the chain runs inside the rear end – Cannondale call this ‘Case Closed Technology’ – and is combined with a custom SRAM i-MOTION nine-speed hub gear to give a fully enclosed drivetrain. Cables are also routed internally, keeping everything clean and low-maintenance.
This jet black machine has a clear mountain bike influence but is aimed at urban warriors. The frame is handmade from 6061-T6 aluminium, with double-pass smooth welds to eliminate stress risers and tapered, triangular top and down tubes. The swingarm is machined from billet aluminium for stiffness and light weight. The spec includes a Fatty Solo 80mm-travel air fork, disc brakes, BB30 bottom bracket with Cannondale Hollowgram SL crankset, own-brand wheels, finishing kit and funky-looking Octopus pedals, and Schwalbe Kojak Bad Boy tyres.
With only 250 pieces on sale (99 of which will be sold in Europe), limited edition Cannondale OnBike bicycles would cost you $6,150.
