Elizabeth Taylor’s Bel Air Home
The Oscar-winning actress that will never be forgotten, Elizabeth Taylor lived in the 1960s ranch-style house in Bel Air, California, for 30 years until her death. Now, estate that Liz called mystical is on the market for $8.6 million.
The house was previously owned by another legend, Nancy Sinatra Sr. The home sits on 1.27 acres and has 7,000 square feet of space on the main floor with a wood-beam ceiling, galley kitchen, two family bedrooms and a lower master suite. Liz made this place her home, her real home, so the public and fans would appreciate those personal touches.
The home rocked five bedrooms, including a master bedroom lined with her signature lavender matching her eyes. Her living room had a beamed ceiling. A former movie screening room transformed into her office. The grounds feature koi pond, swimming pool, of course, hothouse for growing orchids and a terraced English garden.
Elizabeth’s son Christopher Wilding said of the property: (The house was) where we all gathered, especially at Thanksgiving and Easter… She never entertained the notion of moving.
The listing has created a lot of commentary in the celebrity real estate market. Mossler Properties, described the home as a 1960s ranch home with treetop views across Los Angeles which has been meticulously maintained. [Mossler Properties]
