Limited Edition TAG Heuer Monaco V4 Titanium
TAG Heuer has just added a new, the third model watch, to their Monaco V4 series. Called the Monaco V4 Titanium, the watch resembles the 2010 Rose Gold model, as it features the same 41-mm case.
The watch is a Chemistry student’s dream, combining Ruthenium, Ceramic and Titanium. The Ceramic is not visible on the pictures, but runs along the side of the watch to help break up the mass of the case, while the Ruthenium is the black coating on the ridged dial of the watch. Grade T-5 Titanium is used for the hour markers, the hands, including the small second hand at 4 o’clock, the crown and the folding buckle.
Handmade in the haute horology workshop at TAG Heuer’s headquarters, the watch is limited to only 200 pieces (compared with the Platinum version’s 150 and only 60 for the Rose Gold) and will be available starting October, for about $120,000. Who knows after several more years (and production numbers continue to ramp-up), they may be able to make one that mortals can afford. [Calibre11]
