As Star Wars: The Old Republic nears its long-awaited release, the massively multiplayer online game is starting to hit some familiar prelaunch milestones. Today, that milestone is the rolling out of a preorder campaign and announcement of premium release bundles.
Three editions are available: Standard, Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Edition. The Standard Edition ($59,99) gets you the game, and a Color Stone in-game. Pay more for the Digital Deluxe Edition ($79,99) and you receive 6 digital items including a Color Stone, Flare Gun, Training Droid, HoloDancer, HoloCam, and STAP.
The beefiest of the bundles will be the $149,99 retail Collector’s Edition. That box will pack in a Gentle Giant-produced Darth Malgus statue, galaxy map, music CD, a custom security authentication key, and a journal adding to the game’s fiction, as well as eight in-game items. You also get special packaging including collectible metal cases for the game disks and a collector’s box that everything fits inside to be stored away.
All editions come with 30-days of game time and by pre-ordering you get early access to the game.
If that’s not enough good news for you, EA announced today that Star Wars: The Old Republic will go into open beta in September. The beta will available on Beta Test Weekends, and will be open to select players.
