It hardly gets better than this for watch lovers. The Only Watch 2011 charity auction is ready to enter its fourth year at September 23rd at the Hotel Hermitage in Monte Carlo.
Extravaganzi has been closely following most of the unique timepieces exclusively designed for Only Watch 2011. For this fourth edition of the world renowned charity watch auction, world’s most prestigious watchmakers have each created a unique timepiece to be sold by the leading horological auction house, Antiquorum.
Prior to this much-awaited annual event, the Only Watch 2011 collection will be sent off on a world tour. The classy and high-end timepieces will head off to the luxury watch collecting capitals of the world. Cities like Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York, Milan, and Geneva feature on the travel itinerary of the Only Watch 2011 collection.
The watch tour will end in Monaco. A three-day exhibition from 21 to 23 September held at the Monaco Yacht Show will bring the tour to a close. The final auction will be conducted on 23 September by horological auction specialists Antiquorum Auctioneers. The watches on offer are all collectors’ items. The prices will range from $8,000 to $600,000, which means only serious collectors and the seriously wealthy will be able to participate in the charity auction. All proceeds from the Only Watch auction will go towards funding research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
