Russian tycoon Suleyman Abusaidovich Kerimov splashed out £300,000 ($470,000) for Jessie J to perform at a private party in a shopping centre in Makhachkala, Russia.
According to the Mirror, as well as paying the huge fee for the Price Tag singer, Kerimov splashed out on exotic food for his guests. Players from his Russian premier league team, FC Anzhi Makhachkala, were amongst those who attended the gig.
Since purchasing Anzhi back in January, Kerimov, who is currently ranked 118th on Forbes’ list of the world’s billionaires, has signed Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos, as well as Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o – who, as a result, became the world’s highest paid soccer player leaving behind legends like Cristiano Ronaldo.
Meanwhile, Jessie J was recently announced as a judge on the UK version on television talent show The Voice. She will join Tom Jones, Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am and The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue on the judging panel of the show, which is set to air next spring.
