The renowned French music composer Jean Michel Jarre, joined hands with another French design house Lalique to create the limited edition AeroSystem One docking station, which combines the designing expertise of both. The speakers sport Lalique crystal that reveals sparkling jets of water which emerge from the intriguing Masque de Femme an artwork associated with the crystal house. Created in the Art-Deco style, the mask features a woman’s face with aquatic wildlife around her. The vertical body comprises of 2 other such divided units, which look like black circles on a white base, creating another eye-appealing mirage.
The dock comes with a 30-pin for iPod, iPod Touch, iPhone along with a 3.5 mm mini-jack, and a USB with WMA & MP3 decoder. The Stainless steel and Lalique crystal speaker is 42.7-inches high, 4.5-inches in diameter with an external base diameter of 10.2-inches. The setup sports 1 subwoofer 60 W RMS with 2 speakers 2 x 30 W RMS, which seems to be amongst some of the top brass for a product of such a category.
When it comes to buying this thing, be prepared to shell out in €12.000 ($15,850) for each of these. Looking at the artistic brilliance, it should appeal to design geeks as well; hence they would be better suggested to hurry with their orders as only 999 pieces will be made for sale. [Jarre]
