Ashton Kutcher will become the 500th astronaut on Virgin Galactic. Virgin CEO Sir Richard Branson announced the news via his blog. That pleasure to experience weightlessness and see the curvature of the Earth will cost him $200,000 (if he hadn’t arranged some discount in exchange for advertising).

He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself.
Ashton Kutcher isn’t the only celebrity who will soar into space. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Tom Hanks and Katy Perry will join him on that popular cruise above the planet.
