British collector Roland Hall commissioned Pininfarina to build the Hyperion back in 2008, instructing them to create a custom-built car that would evoke the appeal of the extravagant cars of the 1930s. He put the car up for sale a year later for €4.5 million (today’s $6 million), and now the same car has showed up for sale at an Abu Dhabi dealership, at an undisclosed price.
Hyperion, which is named after one of the Titans of Greek mythology, was designed by Jason Castriota, and built by the Special Projects division of Pininfarina. It is based on the running gear of the Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe with power coming from the British model’s 6.75-liter V12 engine rated at 453hp and 531lb-ft of torque.

The Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe’s interior has been left largely untouched, although the rear seats were removed and the driving position pushed back over 15 inches. The rest of the body is made of carbon-fiber save for the solid wood doors. [Prestige Cars]
