After announcing MacBook Airs and MacBook Pros early in its WWDC keynote, Apple has introduced its favorite next-generation, MacBook Pro 2012, which is thinner than its existing pro models and only slightly thicker than the Macbook Air and boasts Retina display.
When it comes to new MacBook Pro the Cupertino based tech giant has have reached the pinnacle of display technology. Its 15.4″ Retina display at a 2880×1880 (or 220ppi) resolution will give MacBook Pro users a lot better display quality (higher contrast ratios, better viewing angles and reduced glare) than its previous version. Alongside the sharp optics, Apple managed to slice the aluminum unibody down to 0.71-inch thickness and a weight of 4.46 pounds.
As for the other specs, you’ll get up to 16GB of RAM, NVIDIA Kepler GT 650M graphics, up to a quad-core 2.7GHz Core i7 processor, a maximum 768GB of storage (SSD, naturally), revised MagSafe, FaceTime HD camera, glass Multi-Touch trackpad, full-size backlit keyboard, dual microphones, enhanced speakers, low-noise fans, 3-stream 802.11n Wi-Fi and a promised seven hours of battery life with 30 days standby.
Pricing starts at $2,199 for a 2.3GHz unit with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. [Apple]
