Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick can’t seem to settle down in one place. Just like Carrie Bradshaw changes the shoes in Sex and the City, Parker likes to change homes. The famous couple only purchased a townhouse in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village for $18.995 million, and now, 18 months later, they have thrown it back on the market for $24.995 million.
Reportedly, Parker and Broderick have renovated the home, in which by the way – they have never lived. The couple decided to sell because of a lack of privacy at the home. Well, who is crazy here?
The 6,800 square feet Greek Revival-style townhouse, located in the Greenwich Village area, just off Fifth Avenue features outdoor decking and lush greenery for privacy. Six bedrooms and five bathrooms spread over five floors. The bottom floor – or garden floor has direct access to an outdoor south garden, as well as a designer Boffi kitchen, breakfast room, pantry, storage and bedroom. The first floor features a double parlor with 12 foot ceilings opens from the home’s entrance, as well as bar from which, there is also access to an outdoor south garden, connected to the kitchen. Going up on the third floor, there are three bedrooms, library and reading area. The fourth floor holds the entire master suite with its spectacular bathroom, walk-in closets, dressing nook and master terrace. Finaly, the fifth floor with 11 foot ceilings features giant family room, media area, office and mechanical room.
This stunning place is also equipped with seven working fireplaces, granite/stone countertops, a five-zone Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning system, and state-of-the-art security system that includes a video intercom and five camera.
While Sarah Jessica Parker and Mattew Broderick are waiting to sell the house and on that way to earn $6 million, they live in Manhattan’s West Village with children James, nine plus twins Marion and Tabitha Broderick, three.
