Christie’s will hold its jewelry auction, on October 16th called “New York Magnificent Jewelry”, that will be Christie’s opening auction of the autumn season. Among 372 lots at upcoming auction, which are expected to achieve more than $35 million, certainly there are a couple of items that stand out as leading – earrings, a pendant and an intense yellow stone, of course as diamond jewelery, as well as rare double strand natural pearl necklace.
Gorgeous pair of diamond ear pendants, with two pear-shaped diamonds weighing 52.78 (yellow diamond) and 50.31 (white diamond) carats, has a pre-sale high estimate of $4.5 – $6.5 million. Mounted in yellow and white gold, the pendants may be easily swapped or detached completely, giving the owner three options for how to wear them.
A diamond pendant necklace is a pear-shaped D-color flawless diamond of 50.52 carats, mounted in platinum and may be worn suspended from a necklace with a 2.28 carat, circular-cut D-color diamond surmount. The estimate is available on request.
Among the colored diamond highlights is an unmounted oval-cut, internally flawless fancy intense yellow diamond of 68.35 carats, estimated to sell between $2.2 – $3.2 million.
A rare double strand natural pearl necklace formed of 120 large-sized individual pearls, estimated to sell between $2.8 – $3.5 million. This necklace consists of pearls ranging in size from 6.50 mm to 12.25 mm in diameter, also range in coloration from white to light cream, with subtle rosé and green overtones and superb luster, and is accented with a 3-carat, D color diamond clasp signed by Cartier.
The auction will also include more than 130 signed jewels from Bulgari, Cartier, Graff, Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co. and Marina B., among others.
