The C-Explorer 5 Luxury Submarine, that debuted at the 22nd Monaco Yacht Show, is just like its manufacturer, Dutch company, U-Boat Worx described – “the world’s first subsea limousine.” After two years of developing, U-Boat Worx managed to design luxury subsea vehicle, precisely limo primarily intended to wealthy yacht owners and their guests for organizing their personal excursions from the boat and exploring their surroundings.
Fully air conditioned, CE5 (as it’s known for short) submarine features a 360 degree acrylic pressure hull that can accommodate four passenger as well as a pilot, and can manage a top speed of 3 knots at 300 meters below the water’s surface. Its high capacity lithium-ion batteries enable it to operate for 8 hours at a time, with the option of upgrading to 1, while if things go wrong below the surface, it can maintain life support for 96 hours.
Other optional features include external manipulator arm, high-tech imaging sonar, special LED lights, and full HD video camera, and and even a tethered remote-operated vehicle for checking out smaller areas areas where this powerful submarine can’t squeeze into.
