2011 Audi A7 Sportback
Images of the new 2011 Audi A7 Sportback have leaked across the internet in the final hours before the vehicle’s official unveiling at art museum ‘Pinakothek der Moderne’ in Munich later today. As expected, the production version closely resembles the A7 Sportback concept which debuted at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show. The front end features an aggressive bumper, LED headlights, and a single frame grille.
Meanwhile, the interior of the 2011 A7 Sportback comes with a pop-up navigation system, wooden trims,- including those on the dashboard, posh leather upholstery, redesigned doorpads, and a slightly tweaked center console that gives the A7 an infused look of luxury and comfort.
It is believed the five-door coupe will be a four-seater only with a useful rear hatch. Power will come from the usual Audi array of gas and diesel powerplants including a new 3.0-liter normally aspirated V6 with 290 horsepower and the latest generation clean-diesel V6. The A7 wouldn’t be an Audi without Quattro all-wheel-drive and we’d expect the 7-speed dual-clutch S-Tronic gearbox.
Production is set to begin later this year in Neckarsulm, Germany, with the first vehicles to be delivered before the start of 2011. Although pricing is yet to be revealed, Audi anticipates annual sales of 40,000 units.
