If you want to surprise a loved one with something on which most of women would envy her, then get her a new watch designed by De Grisogono. Swiss jeweler has unveiled its unique “Sugar” watch for women, inspired by sweet treats during a lunch event at Hôtel Costes in Paris, this week.

The watch will be launched during the upcoming edition of Baselworld, a world watch and jewelry show, April 25- May 2. The ladies timepiece comes in four variations of blue and orange sapphires, white diamonds and emeralds and is priced at about $142,000.
Each watch has been intricately embellished with these precious stones giving it a stunning and sparkly appearance. The precious stones have been studded even on the case, dial, clasp and the back of the watch. The stones look like they are spilling from the bezel of the watch. But these are actually attached to the lower part and on the right hand side by invisible hooks.
Explaining the high price of the timepiece, Gruosi said that the cost of raw materials have risen, also asserting that the high end luxury items are holding up much better in the market than the medium priced pieces.
Apart from the timepieces, the high end luxury brand is renowned for its striking pieces of jewelry for both men and women like rings, bracelets, earrings and pendants as well as luxury showpieces adorned with precious stones. The brand’s jewelry has been worn by celebs like actress Salma Hayek, “Girls Aloud” band mate Cheryl Cole and model Irina Shayk.
