Everyone want the best for their child. But one Chinese mother has really gone so far that she bought $6,5 million flat in Manhattan for her toddler. Reportedly, the woman, who has not been identified dropped this huge amount for the condo in preparation for her 2-year old daughter to live in while she studies.
According to Kevin Brown, a senior vice president at Sotheby’s International who sold this flat, mysterious woman said her daughter need to be in the centre of the city when goes to college and that was why she was picking this one particular apartment.

The apartment is in the One57 tower, a 90-floor glass skyscraper overlooking Central Park. Prime Minister of Qatar spent almost $100 million to purchase New York City’s most expensive penthouse in the same building.
Located across the street from Carnegie Hall concert venue in midtown Manhattan on West 57th Street, the tower will become the tallest residential building in the city when it is finished next year. It will offer luxury amenities like a full service spa, a screening room, private dining room, a full spa and even a pet wash room.
This news of course caused some reactions in China, with most on the internet curious about where the money had come from. Several comments left on Weibo, China’s version of Twitter, suggested that the woman must have been related to a corrupt government official.
