Vuhl Mexican company, announced the photos and technical details of the new sports car with the open roof. Model labeled 05 will have its premiere at the traditional event, on Goodwood Festival of Speed, which will be held from 11 to 14 July in the UK. Mexican producer revealed that it is a lightweight car, intended to driving on the roads, and also for the racetrack, which will counteract to the models such as the BAC Mono, Ariel Atom and KTM X-Bow.
The chassis is made of the aluminum, and the body of reinforced plastics, and as an option in the offer of materials you can choose carbon fiber. Total curb weight is only 695 kg. To drive is used Ford EcoBoost 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine from the Focus ST, which is enhanced with serial 250 to 289 hp, with maximum torque of 400 Nm. Six-speed manual transmission transfers power to the rear wheels, and Mexican manufacturer claims that the car to 60mph arrives in 3.7 seconds, while top speed is 152mph.
Vuhl says that it has started taking orders for the Model 05, and the first copies will be delivered to customers in the spring in 2014. The car will initially be sold only in the U.S and the UK, but the intent of the manufacturer are also the rest of Europe, China, the Middle East and other international markets. Price for the UK market ranges from 55,000 pounds ($82,500), excluding taxes and transportation costs.
