To celebrate the launch of the Louis XIII Rare Cask 42,6, the renowned cognac brand has collaborated with The Bar at The Dorchester to create the ultimate ‘Louis XIII Dorchester Experience’. This experience grants the first 20 customers opportunity to taste each expression of the Louis XIII range: Louis XIII, Black Pearl, Louis Rare Cask 43,8 and the recently launched Rare Cask 42,6.
Created in 1874, Louis XIII is a blend of 1,200 eaux-de-vie aged from 40 to 100 years and created exclusively with grapes from Grande Champagne, the most prestigious region of Cognac. It is rich in aromas of myrrh, plum, honey and jasmine with a complex warm, harmonious and spicy palate, culminating in an extremely long finish of one hour.
The drinks would be served by Giuliano Morandin, The Bar at Dorchester Manager for over 30 years, in form of a ‘Flight’, which is a tray featuring each expression of the Louis XIII range. Lucky customers would also be invited to visit the House of Rémy Martin in Cognac. Aftera private tour of the family estate, the Executive Chef, Philippe Saint-Romas, ‘Maître Cuisiner de France’ will prepare a lunch for guests.
Only twenty Louis XIII ‘Flights’ will be available at The Bar at Dorchester from the 22nd July 2013 for £2,013 ($3.075).
