Tom Ford is an American fashion designer who founded his own fashion house in 2005, and before that he worked as a creative designer in the famous houses Yves, Saint Lauren and Gucci. His name is associated with the classic Opium fragrance M7 who upset the world. The first fragrance for men, which is issued by Tom Ford, Tom Ford Men, is based on very rare ingredients cipriola, which is similar to papyrus. It’s very sensual and elegant, sexy. His latest creation is Private Blend London which he design for opening Tom Ford London flagship on Sloane Street street in the West End.
The scent is a mix of spices including black pepper, saffron, cardamom, coriander, cumin and coffee. It then opens up into floral geraniums and jasmine as well as incense and cistus oil. As usual with Ford’s scents there’s a woody base containing oud, cedar and torchwood, as well as birch tar oil. “Our British customers are among the most discerning and stylish in the world,” Ford told WWD. “Opening our first directly operated flagship in the U.K. is an important step in solidifying our position as a global luxury brand.” Private Blend London is available in a range of sizes from 50 ml for $215, up to a 250-ml decanter for $492.
