Porsche is celebrating the 50 anniversary of the model 911 and is not surprising many special editions of the current 911. Thus, after 50 Years Edition version of 911 an unusual 911 Blu Edition has come, which is said to be friendly to nature. In fact the Porsche 911 Blu Edition boasts 18-inch wheels with tires with reduced rolling resistance (specially developed by Michelin), active shutter, grill, stop / start function as well as 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine with individual cylinder deactivation technology.
This 911 is characterized by improved aerodynamics and a 63 kg less weight than a standard model. Engine still has 287 Nm of torque, but the power was reduced from 257 to 224 kW/350Hp, kW/300Hp. Acceleration from 0 to 60mph takes 5.4 seconds and top speed is 165mph. 911 Blu Edition will be offered in the Convertible version, with the PDK transmission, Riviera Blue color and the Red Guards details (including front spoiler, mirrors and roof). This limited edition Blu Edition 911 will be available in a series of 911 pieces, priced at $99,000, while its official premiere will be held at September’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
