50 years ago, the legendary “Beatles” have recorded at London’s Abbey Road studio their first single, “Love Me Do“, which marked the beginning of a revolution that has forever changed the musical map of the world. Heritage Auctions on August 10 in Dallas, Texas, will offer, at the Entertainment & Music Memorabilia auction, the very first album cover for The White Album of The Beatles which is expected to reach more than $20,000.
Numbered A0000001 White Album cover is one of 24 copies that were made as promotional items to celebrate the album’s release, and were gifted out to top Capitol Records executives in 1968. It also comes with an original poster, four individual photos, and a set of two EX 7 records. Other items included in the Beatles auction are two dual-record sets of LP stereo acetate records, which is also expected to sell for more than $20,000, a one-off hand-painted concert poster for a show in Wales and the first LP release of Please Please Me.
