President and CEO of Lamborghini, Stephan Winkelmann has officially confirmed that the company will produce exclusive and super expensive Veneno in the Roadster version. As a reminder, the Lamborghini at the Geneva Motor Show, marking the 50 anniversary of the company, presented Veneno in the Coupe version that was made in 4 copies. One ended up in a museum, and three was sold. In an interview, Winkelmann said that they planned the production of the nine Roadster.
It is an interesting fact, because as we said, only 3 Coupe Veneno delivered to the customers. Regardless of the increased production, Roadster Veneno will be $267,000 more expensive than the Coupe and each copy will cost $ 3.3 million. Apparently all copies already has been reserved since the Lamborghini recently contacted potential customers to see if there is interest in this model. Apparently they get positive answers. Except for a collapsible roof, everything else will be identical to a Coupe. This means that it will run the 6.5-liter V12 with 750HP and the power will be sent through 4×4 robotic 7-speed ISR gearbox that will offer five driving modes.
