Rolls-Royce has promoted the new special edition of Ghost, but not at the Frankfurt Motor Show which is currently underway, but on Facebook. It is named 2013 Rolls-Royce Ghost Chengdu Golden Sun Bird Edition, and is inspired by an ancient Chinese artifact that was discovered in 2001. The Golden Sun Bird is, it’s described as a ring-shaped piece of foil that was made of nearly pure gold. Looking at the artifact, you’ll notice a pattern that consists of four birds, all flying in a counter-clockwise direction around the perimeter with what looks like a sun on the center.
This Ghost unique two-tone exterior stands out with combination of white and gold color, discrete gold lines on the sides, two-tone wheels, black leather seats, gold markings edition, plate with the inscription “One of One”, while the price in the short news is not mentioned. The Ghost is powered by a 6.6-liter V-12 engine that produces 563Hp and 575 pound-feet of torque, good enough to hit 62 mph in just 4.7 seconds and top speed of 155 mph.
