Mercedes pulled out all the features of its design team, unveiling in Monaco last weekend luxury yachts concept. The concept is called Arrow460 Quattroporte, and the boat itself is described as a, silver sea arrow. As the name implies, the yacht is inspired by the legendary designs of Mercedes F1 car. The idea is developed in cooperation with the Silver Arrows Marine company, which plans to implement the concept into practice.
For now it is only a concept model, while the final version will be about 15 feet long. The two Yanmar diesel engine with 480 hp will be powered the boat, which would allow the yacht a maximum speed of about 40 knots.
Silver Arrows Marine is taking orders, and the first deliveries are expected in early 2015. The first ten copies produced will be part of a special “Editon 1” series, which will be fitted as standard equipment made a handful of luxury add-ons, which will later be available to customers at extra cost. The starting price of this extraordinary yacht will be $1.7 million.
