‘Luxury Himalayan Escape’ is an exclusive seven-night trip to the Kingdom of Bhutan emerged as a result of collaboration between two leading names in luxury travel – COMO Hotels and Resorts and Chapman Freeborn. The all-inclusive, seven-night escape includes four nights at Uma Paro lodge in the Paro Valley and three nights at Uma Punakha, further north in the Punakha Valley. Both lodges are owned by COMO Hotels and Resorts and feature breathtaking mountainside locations, interiors filled with Bhutanese artisanship and COMO Shambhala Retreats for massages and other wellness treatments.
Chapman Freeborn, recognised worldwide as the leading provider of private air charter and is loved by VIPs is the only one who has the permission to fly in and out of Bhutan. Depending on the departure point, guests are able to charter anything from a Cessna Citation light jet to a long range Gulfstream G450. The aircraft are available with VIP configuration, the larger varieties offering luxurious bedroom and dining areas as well as cutting-edge in-flight entertainment.
Alex Berry, Sales and Marketing Director at Chapman Freeborn said: “As the one and only air charter specialist with permission to fly in to Bhutan, we are thrilled about this unique alliance as it provides our high-end clientele with a discreet yet hugely exclusive experience that is second-to-none.”
The trip features full-board accommodation at both lodges as well as six-and-a-half days of privately guided hiking and day excursions to cultural landmarks such as the Punakha Dzong and the capital, Thimphu. All excursions will be accompanied by professional English-speaking Bhutanese guides and a personal butler at both hotels.

Our partnership with Chapman Freeborn on the ‘Luxury Himalayan Escape’ takes this concept to the next level, allowing guests to experience a seamless, door-to-door travel experience.”
