Volkswagen has announced that a special edition of the Touareg X, after Europe, will be offered on the U.S. market. The Touareg X for the U.S. market is based on the Touareg TDI Clean Diesel Lux, and among other highlights Moonlight Blue Pearl exterior, 19-inch Moab alloy wheels, Bi-Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, Vienna leather seats, piano black accents, aluminum pedals, panoramic roof, dual zone climate control, a leather multifunction steering wheel, 8-inch touch screen, front seats with heating and GPS navigation.
Under the hood is a 3.0-liter V6 turbo-diesel engine with 179 kW/240Hp and 550 Nm of torque, paired with eight-speed gearbox, and all four wheels drive. For the U.S. market is foreseen exactly 1,000 copies of the Touareg X, at a price of 56.170 dollars.
