Queen Latifah’s home in the Jersey town of Colts Neck is on sale for $2,14 million. The Grammy-winning singer and actor bought the house under her real name, Dana Owens in 2001, for about $2.14 million. The 7,882-square-foot mansion sits on an impressive 9.52 acre lot and has 6 bedrooms, five full baths and 3 half bathrooms. Surrounded by equestrian farms, luxury home features four fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen, a sun room, a master spa bath with a nine head steam shower and a two-story great room with floor-to-ceiling windows and access to two decks. In addition, there is a gym, a wet bar and home theater, as well as an Olympic-sized heated infinity pool.
Her majesty decided to sell her nest because she has been spending more time in California since relaunching her eponymous daytime talk show in September.
“Many incredible memories have been shared with those closest to me and my family in this home,” Latifah said in a statement.
The home is listed with Robin Jackson, a Princeton-based Coldwell Banker agent, who said that the home is grand, but no Versailles.
“Even though it’s a huge home, it’s not overwhelming,” she said. “A family could live there and not feel lost.”
