It might not be $100,000 Electrolux’s Molteni Range Cooker, but is definitely the world’s first smart professional cooking range for the home. At CES 2014 unveiled few days ago, Dacor revealed its new Discovery iQ 48″ Dual-Fuel Range, the world’s first range to feature an integrated, wirelessly-connected tablet. Finally you can cook like professional chef at your home. This new member of Dacor’s Discovery iQ line features features the Dacor iQ Cooking Application that empowers users with all the tools they need for precision cooking.
Application by downloading apps from either the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. With this app, you now get remote preheating, and it can also monitor cook time and temperature, the latter through a built-in meat probe. Home chefs can do things like watch cooking tutorials from the range, set it to automatically switch to a warming mode and inform the user via text when a meal is done, or even control the range and make adjustments remotely from a smartphone or tablet.
This smart cooking range features two electric ovens offering 10 cooking modes, a gas cooktop featuring 14-inch wide grates, Soft-Close door hinges to prevent slamming, and GreenClean Steam Technology for self-cleaning.
Priced at $11,999, Dacor’s Discovery iQ 48″ Dual-Fuel Range will be available nationwide in June this year.
