Quincy Jones Signature Line of Headphones from Harman AKG
Quincy Jones is truly one of the biggest icons in American music, and for this reason, Harman International found it appropriate to dedicate a line of premium headphones to the famous music producer, namely the the Quincy Jones Signature Line by AKG.
There are three different lines of headphones: The Q701 reference headphones for $480, the smaller Q460, on-ear foldable mini headphones for $230, and the Q350 in-ear headphones for $150. The two lower-end headphones are both iPhone compatible with in-line mics and remote control, whereas the top, Q701 is more about accurate sound reproduction.
The Q 701 comes with ergonomically-shaped velvet cushions and removable 99-percent oxygen-free wires. The Q460 on-ear mini headphones use a regular 3.5mm stereo cord with gold-plated jack plugs and adapters for 2.5mm or full plugs, and folds completely flat. The Q360 earbuds also support the adapters and come with a carrying case and cable winder. All three designs in the Quincy Jones Signature Line will be available in black, green, and white.
They might seem expensive, but since a share of the proceeds from every set of headphones sold in the Quincy Jones Signature Line by AKG will go toward the Quincy Jones Musiq Consortium, a foundation dedicated to making music education an ongoing part of the lives of American children, the spicy price points don’t seem that high anymore.
